OpenSea Pro WTF??
OpenSea announced its Pro version NFT aggregator this week and we are… not impressed. The product itself isn’t horrible, allowing you to browse listings from over 170 NFT marketplaces, including Opensea. 0% listing fees (for now). And degens get some more robust analytics.
But this kind of just feels like a desperate replication of Blur that falls short. The acquisition of Gem by Opensea was a good strategic move at the time, but this recent product launch isn’t differentiated much from the original.
To make matters worse, Opensea slipped in a free NFT for “power users” called Gemesis. After years of loyalty and billions of dollars transacted on-chain, no one was looking for an oversupplied free-to-mint NFT.
OpenSea basically slapped a new label-logo on an old acquisition and thought a freebie NFT reward would shut us up. It seems as if they are still trying to keep their IPO dreams alive instead of giving users what they really want – a token airdrop.
WOAH
So hyped!!!!
After spending 10s of thousands of dollars on nfts I got a FREE NFT from opensea and supply is only 180k 😍
This is def the reward we were all waiting for 🎉🥳🎊

A free NFT with 180K supply… definitely the reward we were all waiting for lmao.
Blur might have solidified its reign as the marketplace of the future. Sorry Opensea, we’ll be the first to give you credit when you do something right.
Will AI Ever Go Rogue in the Future? 👀
ChatGpt didn't say NO! So we did some research in the middle of the night with the sheets over our heads.
According to the New York Post, although they might make life much easier, artificial intelligence systems also risk destroying mankind. We think that’s a bit extreme. But smart people like Sam Altman or Elon Musk also fear this may be true, so we’re listening.
Oxford researchers say that rogue AI must be regulated like nuclear weapons if we want to survive, or it poses an "existential threat to civilization."
Experts worry that ChatGPT, which has been outlawed in NYC schools due to its effectiveness as a cheating tool, may make Google and many other jobs obsolete. Sure, but so did computers in the 60s, and grandpa figured it out and got a new job.
"ChatGPT is frighteningly good. Musk tweeted that "We are not far from dangerously strong AI."
Meanwhile, other prominent technologists like Hubspot CTO Dharmesh Shah are more optimistic – pointing more towards the potential for job creation and optimal human productivity than economic collapse.
Sony Files an NFT Patent
Competition to corner the gaming market is heating up, as businesses like Sony build and invest in new ways to connect to players.
Will we finally see NFTs integrated into traditional video games? It seems like it’s already happening…
Sony filed a patent for PlayStation NFT infrastructure this month that would enable users to earn NFTs in games that are both transferable and usable on other gaming platforms.
