🗿 Is the SEC Our Friend?

SEC to Greenlight Ether-Futures ETFs

Today’s No FOMO newsletter is brought to you by…

GM. Gm. gm. Crypto dumped heavy yesterday as we simultaneously inch closer toward mass adoption.

I’m no desk monkey but some people are pretty sure this would be a good time to buy (Not Financial Advice – but it is an idea ).

It’s not all bad. PayPal keeps bringing the crypto world things we need, and the SEC is going to let us trade futures.

Without Further Ado. ☕ *knuckle cracks* ☕ Let’s get into it.

Ledger Adds PayPal 🖇️

Ledger Live App Users can now buy crypto using PayPal, storing straight to their Ledger hardware wallet.

Two top trusted names in the world of internet money coming together – Hardware wallet maker Ledger has integrated PayPal, allowing users to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin directly through the Ledger Live app.

We haven’t used it ourselves just yet, but the integration should make it super easy for people to buy crypto securely. The easiest it’s ever been.

“Rather than using non-secure browser wallets or holding their funds on exchanges, users can combine the ease of use they want with the security they need,” - Ledger spokesperson

If you aren’t too familiar with Ledger, here’s why this is cool:

  • It makes it easier for people to buy cryptocurrencies, as they can use their existing PayPal account (who doesn’t have PayPal at this point)

  • It provides a more secure way to store cryptocurrencies, as they are held in the user's Ledger hardware wallet

  • The entire process can be done through the Ledger Live app, reducing the need for multiple accounts and apps with manual transfers

Some more important details to note:

  • The integration is currently available to U.S. residents with verified PayPal accounts

  • Users can purchase cryptocurrencies with their PayPal balance or linked bank account

  • Once the purchase is complete, the cryptocurrencies are automatically sent to the user's Ledger hardware wallet

Paypal has been making big moves recently. First they launched a USD stablecoin on ETH, now they are making it even easier for their users to buy and hodl. We think it’s extremely bullish that the OG of online payments is hard at work making crypto a permanent
